Nissan rolls out all-new Kicks e-POWER

Nissan Philippines has launched the all-new Kicks e-POWER, four years after the electrified subcompact crossover first entered the local market.
The new model is available in VE, VL and LE Plus variants. Launch prices are P1.499 million for the VE, P1.649 million for the VL and P1.749 million for the LE Plus. These prices are valid until 30 September 2026.
The Kicks introduced Nissan’s e-POWER system to the Philippine subcompact crossover class in 2022. Unlike a battery electric vehicle, it does not need an external charger. Its 1.2-liter three-cylinder gasoline engine generates electricity, while an electric motor drives the wheels.
The latest Kicks produces 136 PS and 280 Nm of torque. The arrangement gives the vehicle the immediate response of an electric motor, but owners can refill it at a regular fuel station.
Nissan also gave the cabin several changes aimed at regular use. Zero Gravity seats support the occupants, while anti-heat leather upholstery helps limit heat buildup. Rear passengers get a revised seatback angle and an armrest. The driver has a six-way power-adjustable seat.
A 12.3-inch display audio system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. NissanConnect Services is also included with a three-year subscription.
Exterior changes include an updated V-Motion grille and triple-arrow daytime running lights. Hexagon-shaped lamps identify the rear, while revised headlights cast a wider and longer beam to improve visibility at night.
ProPILOT is one of the main additions to the new generation. The driver-assistance system can help control steering, acceleration and braking on highways.
Intelligent Lane Keep Assist helps hold the vehicle near the center of its lane, while Intelligent Cruise Control adjusts speed to maintain distance from traffic ahead.
Traffic Jam Assist can stop the Kicks when traffic comes to a halt and resume travel when vehicles begin to move again. The system does not replace the driver, who must continue to watch the road and stay in control.
Other driver aids cover forward collision warnings, emergency braking with pedestrian detection and blind-spot intervention.
The equipment list also includes lane departure prevention, rear automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert and an around-view monitor with moving object detection. A tire pressure monitor, high beam assist and driver attention alert are also fitted.
Buyers can choose Aquamarine Metallic, Gun Metallic, Pearl White or Moon Pearl Gray. The LE Plus is also offered with a black roof and a Moonstone cabin color combination. The VE and VL have black interiors.
A one-year Nissan Protect+ package comes with the launch offer. It covers prepaid maintenance with genuine Nissan oil and parts during the first year of ownership.
Nissan Philippines president Yoshinori Kanazawa said the country is an important market for the brand and described the new model as the next chapter for a nameplate already familiar to Filipino drivers.
