ACMobility subsidiary Greenstrum has expanded its electric vehicle charging services for companies that want to own and operate their own charging networks.
The firm handles system design, equipment supply, installation and maintenance. Its charger range starts at 7 kW and goes up to 480 kW. The service is available to property developers, fleet operators and vehicle manufacturers nationwide.
Businesses retain ownership of their charging equipment and control daily operations. The chargers may also carry the client’s own brand.
Greenstrum chief operations officer Carl Decleodt said companies may need charging facilities for their fleets or as a separate business. He said Greenstrum can match the equipment and installation work to each project.
The company uses Huawei FusionCharge DC equipment. The system has protection against grid overload and other electrical faults. It can also share available power across several vehicles.
Greenstrum said its fastest 480 kW chargers can replenish compatible EVs in 10 to 15 minutes. Actual charging time depends on the vehicle and conditions at the site.
The company is also certified to install and integrate Huawei Battery Energy Storage Systems. The LUNA2000 system stores electricity during periods of lower demand and releases it when more vehicles need power.
