Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) has added the Click125 Street to its established scooter range. The new model gives the familiar 125cc scooter a different riding position and sharper appearance without changing its basic commuter formula.

The model carries a suggested retail price of P90,000 and became available on 27 August at Honda 3S Shops and authorized dealers nationwide. Buyers can choose Matte Cyber Grape Metallic or Pearl Arctic White.

Honda describes the model as a “Game-Changer Upgrade.” Despite the name, the Street is a new Click125 variant rather than a ground-up replacement for the scooter. Its main differences come from its styling and added rider equipment.

The most noticeable change is the exposed handlebar. Honda calls it a naked handlebar, a design commonly associated with sportier motorcycles.

Apart from changing the scooter’s appearance, it gives the rider a direct view of the controls and places a full digital meter panel at the center.

The Click125 Street also gets LED lamps throughout. The system covers the headlight and other exterior lights, which improve visibility during evening trips.

Wide tubeless tires provide added grip, while a wavy front disc brake handles stopping duties. A combined braking system distributes braking force between the wheels to help keep the scooter steady.

Honda retained the 125cc liquid-cooled engine with programmed fuel injection and enhanced Smart Power technology. The company lists fuel consumption at 50.3 kilometers per liter under the World Motorcycle Test Cycle.

Actual mileage can still change with traffic, rider weight, road conditions and throttle use. However, the test result gives buyers a common basis when comparing the Click125 Street with other scooters.

The engine and fuel economy place the new variant in familiar Click125 territory. Its changes are aimed mainly at riders who want the usefulness of an automatic scooter with a more stripped-back appearance.

Everyday equipment includes Honda’s Smart Key System, which lets the rider start the scooter without inserting a conventional key. An 18-liter compartment under the seat can hold a helmet or small personal items. A USB-C port can keep a phone charged during a trip.

The Idling Stop System shuts off the engine when the scooter waits in traffic. A turn of the throttle starts it again, which cuts unnecessary fuel use during long stops. Riders may switch off the feature when they do not need it.

“The Click125 Street brings a fresh take to the Click125 series with its bold and sporty character combined with advanced features and reliable performance,” Honda Philippines president Takeshi Kobayashi said.

The latest version arrives in a busy part of the local motorcycle market, where automatic scooters serve as daily transport for workers and students. Price, fuel use and storage often carry as much weight as styling when buyers choose a model.

At P90,000, the Click125 Street serves as a style-led alternative within the series.

It keeps the fuel-efficient engine and useful equipment expected from a Click125, then adds the exposed handlebar, digital display and two distinct finishes for riders who want their daily scooter to look less ordinary.
