The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has transferred to its new building in Pasay City, in line with its institutional commitment to enhance administrative efficiency and elevate service delivery for global investors.
The 15-floor PEZA Investment and Corporate Center, situated in Roxas Blvd., Pasay City, was developed at a construction cost of approximately P940 million, with a 14,000-square-meter floor area.
The edifice was funded with an additional P300 million invested for fit-out works.
“The PEZA Investment and Corporate Center symbolizes our commitment to innovation, operational excellence, and investor-centered governance. As we transition to our permanent home, we remain fully committed to ensuring seamless services and creating a more efficient and collaborative environment that supports the country's investment promotion agenda,” said PEZA Director General Tereso Panga.
Further, he said the relocation is a significant milestone in the agency’s continuing efforts to strengthen institutional capacity and enhance investor services.
The construction of PEZA’s permanent home began in September 2021 under a lease-to-own agreement in partnership with the LBP Leasing and Finance Corporation (LLFC).
Balangay-inspired
The PEZA building features a sustainable and modern architectural concept inspired by the traditional ‘balangay’, a pre-colonial Filipino boat that symbolizes trade, connectivity, and progress.
The building's façade reflects this iconic native vessel, embodying PEZA's mission to drive investments, expand trade opportunities, and forge strategic partnerships. Designed to meet the stringent standards of the United States Green Building Council, the building has been fitted out for LEED Gold Certification.
“With the completion of its new Investment and Corporate Center, PEZA moves closer to joining the ranks of the foremost trailblazers in government ownership of a LEED-certified facility. The world-class, environmentally friendly landmark reflects the country's commitment to sustainable development while showcasing Philippine ecozones to both global and local investors”, DG Panga stated.
Beyond its sustainable design, the 15-floor facility offers a range of amenities and services for investors and stakeholders.
These include two floors for commercial lease, an Incident Command Center, a one-stop-shop office housing the Bureau of Immigration, Bureau of Customs, and Bureau of Fire Protection, a Business Center, the PEZA Advanced AI Academy, which serves as an AI industry excellence center, and a Video Wall for advertisements.
