  • The Miss Grand International community is grieving the tragic loss of Venezuelan beauty queen Skarlent Rodriguez, who died following the powerful earthquakes that struck parts of Venezuela in late June.

In a statement released on July 1, the international pageant organization expressed sympathy to Rodriguez’s family and to everyone affected by the natural disaster.

“We extend our deepest condolences to her family, loved ones, and all those affected by this heartbreaking disaster.”

The organization also offered prayers for the Venezuelan people as communities continue to recover from the devastation.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of Venezuela during this difficult time. May they find strength, comfort, and unity as they navigate the days ahead. May she rest in eternal peace.”

Rodriguez, a Venezuelan model who was based in the United States, proudly represented Orlando in the Miss Grand Florida 2025 competition. Her passing has left fellow candidates, organizers, and supporters in mourning.

Miss Grand Florida also honored Rodriguez in an emotional tribute, describing the loss as one that has deeply shaken the pageant family.

“We are heartbroken beyond words by this unimaginable tragedy.”

The organization called on supporters to keep Rodriguez’s loved ones in their prayers and encouraged those who are able to extend financial assistance to help her family during this difficult time.

Remembering her impact beyond the pageant stage, Miss Grand Florida highlighted the kindness and warmth that defined Rodriguez’s character.

“She will be remembered not only for her beauty and accomplishments but also for the way she uplifted others and carried herself with dignity and light.”

It added that her influence would continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing and working with her.

“Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of her fellow queens, judges, directors, and all members of the Miss Grand Florida family.”

As tributes continue to pour in, Skarlent Rodriguez is being remembered not only as a promising beauty queen but as a woman whose compassion, grace, and positive spirit touched the lives of many within the pageant community.
