A man listed among Pasig City’s most wanted persons was arrested Friday afternoon in an intensified police manhunt operation for a sexual assault case.

Personnel of the Pasig City Police Station’s Caniogan Police Sub-Station arrested the suspect, identified only as alias “Michael,” 47, a tricycle driver and resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, during an operation conducted at about 4:50 p.m. along Libra Street in Barangay Nagpayong.

The arrest was carried out by virtue of a warrant issued by the Pasig City Family Court, Branch 12, for sexual assault in relation to Section 5(b) of Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.

The court recommended no bail for the temporary liberty of the accused.

Pasig police chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan commended the operating personnel for the successful implementation of the warrant of arrest.
