The Hall of Justice at the Quezon City Hall was forced to evacuate this Friday morning, 27 February 2026, after an alleged bomb threat was sent from an unidentified source.
Investigators from the Quezon City Police District said a clerk-in-charge received the message at approximately 8:48 a.m., warning of a bomb within the building.
The report prompted an immediate evacuation as officers conducted area monitoring while the district’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal team swept the building for any suspected explosive.
Authorities ceased operations at 11:05 a.m. after finding no signs of hazardous materials, explosives, incendiary devices, or similar threats.
Operations resumed after the investigation, the QCPD said.
The city’s Anti-Cybercrime Team will launch an investigation into the sender of the message as part of its ongoing operations.
“The QCPD remains fully prepared to respond to any threat to public safety. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant, be calm, and immediately report any suspicious activities,” the police district said.
