Janno Gibbs returns home with tribute, new single

March unfolds with a familiar voice at its center as GMA Music rolls out a month-long tribute to Filipino hitmaker Janno Gibbs, celebrating his enduring artistry while setting the stage for a new release.

Throughout the month, listeners are invited to revisit Gibbs’ defining recordings, television themes and most-played tracks, culminating in the release of his upcoming single “Pinay Pa Rin” on 10 April.

For Gibbs, returning to the label that shaped much of his musical journey feels instinctive.

“Really excited, nostalgic to be back home in GMA Music,” he shared. “I’m also excited for the new single kasi this is a fun song but still anthemic. It’s like the counterpart of ‘Pinakamagandang Lalaki’ but about Pinay beauty naman.”

The forthcoming track leans into the smooth, playful soul style long associated with his name, this time spotlighting the Filipina.

“I don’t think we write enough songs for Pinay Beauty. It’s really rare that a song is specifically about the beauty of the Filipina. This is an honest opinion — I think Filipinas are the most beautiful among all races,” he said.

He added that one of his favorite lines captures the heart of the song: “Cause I’ve been around the world for the perfect girl and it always brings me back to you.”

Ahead of the single’s release, GMA Music is highlighting the breadth of his catalog through curated streaming features and weekly digital spotlights. The campaign aims to reintroduce his music to younger audiences while giving longtime fans the chance to revisit tracks that helped define OPM’s romantic sound.
