National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) Commissioner Rafael Vicente R. Calinisan on Monday commended the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Masambong Police Station 2 for the immediate arrest of a burglary suspect and the recovery of stolen property.
At around 12:40 a.m. on 14 February, a resident in Quezon City who was Calinisan's friend was unlawfully entered by an “akyat-bahay” suspect, who took personal belongings, including the victim’s bicycle.
Following rapid response and sustained follow-up operations, Masambong Police Station 2 arrested the suspect later that day and recovered the stolen bicycle.
Calinisan commended QCPD District Director P/Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio and Station Commander P/Lt. Col. Rolando B. Baula, and cited the operational team led by PCPT Geronimo P. Caparas III, together with PSMS Rafael B. Francisco, PSSg Ephraim A. Gonzales, PSSg Allan John L. Manalang, PSSg James Irwin B. Abad, PCpl Edgardo R. Rante (wounded in action), PCpl Mervin DC Lachica, PCpl Francisco M. Sasam Jr., and PCpl Raffy D. Estilo.
“Ang mabilis na pagresponde at agarang pag-aresto ay patunay ng seryosong pagtupad ng ating kapulisan sa kanilang mandato. Maraming salamat sa inyong maagap at tapat na serbisyo,” Calinisan said.
NAPOLCOM reaffirmed its support for police units that deliver decisive, results-driven action in protection of the public.
