Play Dionela’s Sining (Art) and let the lyrics, “Ikaw ay tila sining sa museong ‘di naluluma (You are like art in a museum that will never fade),” serenade your heart.

Isn’t it lovely to be surrounded by beautiful works of art while enjoying the moment with your special someone?

A grand Hearts Month date doesn’t have to be expensive. Sometimes, it just needs to feel classy and intimate. Here’s a list of picturesque museums you can visit to make your date extra magical.

National Museum of the Philippines

Located in historic Ermita, Manila, this is a top choice if you want a budget-friendly but worthwhile experience. Admission is free, allowing you to explore its three impressive buildings: the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, and the National Museum of Natural History. Facing Rizal Park, the Fine Arts building welcomes visitors with Juan Luna’s massive and iconic “Spoliarium.”

All three buildings feature neoclassical architecture, with Corinthian columns and symmetrical façades, exuding a grand, scholarly and timeless vibe — perfect for a premier institution dedicated to preserving Filipino culture, arts and archaeology. This museum is ideal for couples who enjoy in-depth, educational explorations.

Pintô Art Museum

Located in Antipolo, Rizal, this contemporary museum features a bold, white-washed, Greek-inspired design by Antonio Leaño. It showcases high-quality works from various artists, including recipients of the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Thirteen Artist Awards. A café on-site makes it easy to relax while immersing in art. Entrance fees are P250 for adults and P125 for students.

Ayala Museum

At the heart of Makati’s Business District, the Ayala Museum is an oasis for art in Greenbelt Park. Its architectural design complements the city’s modern vibe, while natural light and warm interiors create an elegant, inviting atmosphere.

BenCab Museum

For couples on a Baguio date, a visit to this museum by National Artist Benedicto Cabrera is a must. Located in Tuba, Benguet, the museum charges admission fees at P200 for general entry and P120 for students. The three-storey museum offers a harmonious blend of art and nature, providing a relaxing and inspiring experience.

Love is meant to be expressed — bright, colorful, chaotic, intentional and intimate, just like art itself.
