'God was truly with us': Matteo Guidicelli reassures public after restaurant incident

Published on

Actor and entrepreneur Matteo Guidicelli took to social media to ease concerns following an unexpected incident at his family’s restaurant, Da Gianni Cucina Italiana in Westgate Molito.

In a Facebook post, Matteo explained that a vehicle accidentally rammed into the restaurant’s al fresco area in the afternoon. While the situation was alarming, he emphasized that no one was injured.

“At around 4:00 PM this afternoon, an incident occurred where a vehicle accidentally rammed into our al fresco area,” Matteo wrote. “We are grateful to share that no one was injured.”

Safety came first

Matteo noted that the restaurant’s guests had already left hours before the incident, preventing any potential harm.

“All our guests had already left by around 1:30 PM, so the AL FRESCO area was clear at the time of the incident,” he said.

He clarified that only the restaurant’s exterior was affected.

“The damage is limited to part of the restaurant’s exterior,” he added. “Our interior dining area remains open, while the al fresco section will be temporarily closed for safety and repairs.”

A Message of gratitude and faith

Expressing relief and gratitude, Matteo credited divine protection for the positive outcome.

“Above all, we thank the Lord for His protection. God was truly with us today!”

He also thanked supporters who immediately reached out after hearing the news.

“Thank you for your concern, prayers, and continued support. Please keep safe, everyone,” he wrote.

The update showcased Matteo’s composed and responsible approach as both a business owner and public figure. By addressing the situation promptly, he reassured customers that operations would continue safely while repairs were made.

Fans and industry observers praised his transparency, noting how quickly he prioritized public safety and clear communication.

Moving forward

Despite the setback, Matteo remains optimistic about the restaurant’s recovery.

With no injuries reported and minimal damage sustained, the incident serves as a reminder of how quickly circumstances can change—and how preparedness, faith, and clear communication make all the difference.

For now, Matteo and his team continue to welcome guests inside the restaurant, grateful that what could have been a tragedy instead became a story of protection, resilience, and community support.
