The Office of the Vice President (OVP) said its Libreng Sakay program has served more than three million passengers nationwide since its launch on 3 August 2022, underscoring its continued effort to provide free, safe, and reliable transportation to Filipino commuters.
From January to December 2025 alone, the OVP said Libreng Sakay assisted 1,036,927 passengers across various routes in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, including Metro Manila, Naic in Cavite, Cebu, Bacolod, Tacloban, and Davao.
The program currently operates nine buses deployed nationwide and strategically positioned to serve high-demand areas.
Beyond its regular daily operations, Libreng Sakay also provides critical transport services during natural disasters and major transport disruptions, helping ensure uninterrupted mobility for the public, particularly workers, students, and other vulnerable sectors.
The OVP reiterated its commitment to people-centered initiatives that deliver timely and practical assistance, reflecting what it described as a responsive and compassionate approach to public service.
