A fire broke out early Wednesday morning and razed a commercial establishment in Barangay Pasong Putik, Quezon City, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said.
The blaze erupted at an establishment located along Belfast Avenue corner Quirino Highway in Novaliches at around 4:40 a.m. Firefighters raised the alarm to the fifth level by 5:16 a.m., prompting a large-scale response from nearby fire stations.
As of posting time, BFP personnel were still conducting fire suppression operations and working to fully extinguish the flames.
Authorities have yet to release details on possible casualties, the extent of damage, and the cause of the fire, which will be determined following an investigation.
Update: As of 8:01 am the BFP reports that the fire is now under control with no casualties yet reported.
