The Manila Police District (MPD) has issued traffic advisories ahead of the Feast of Sto. Niño celebrations in Tondo and Pandacan on 18 January.

Aside from local residents, devotees are expected to join multiple processions, including the highly anticipated Lakbayaw in Tondo.

Pandacan road closures will begin as early as 7:00 a.m. on 17 January along:

• Jesus St.-Palumpong St. from Quirino Ave. to Beata St.

• Hilum St. from Teodoro San Luis St. to Beata St.

• Beata St. from Hilum St. to T. Claudio St.

• E. Zamora St. from Quirino Ave. to Hilum St.

• Laura St. from Menandro to Beata St.

• Labores St. from Paco-Sta. Mesa Rd. to Jesus St.

• Narciso St. from Jesus St. to Hilum St.

• Industria St. from Jesus St. to Hilum St.

• Teodoro San Luis St. from Jesus St. to Hilum St.

Pandacan rerouting:

• Vehicles from Mabini Bridge (Nagtahan) to Jesus St. should proceed straight to Pres. Quirino Ave. to reach their destination.

• Vehicles from Paco-Sta. Mesa Bridge/Interlink via Beata St., Palumpong St., and Laura St. should go straight to Pres. Quirino Ave.

• Vehicles from Paz M. Guazon St. to Jesus St. should turn left to Mabini Bridge (Nagtahan) or right to Quirino Ave.

• Vehicles from Dr. M.L. Carreon St. to Menandro St. should turn left to Laura St./Paco-Sta. Mesa Rd. or right to Tomas Claudio St.

Tondo road closures began at 12:01 a.m. on 17 January and will last until 12 midnight on 18 January along:

• Moriones/Sta. Maria

• Moriones/J. Nolasco

• Moriones/N. Zamora

• Asuncion/Morga

• Asuncion/Ortega

• Juan Luna/Morga

• Juan Luna/Chacon

• P. Herrera/Cano

• P. Herrera/Ylaya

• Lakandula/Carmen Planas

Tondo rerouting:

• Vehicles from Asuncion St. should turn left to Tuazon St. or via Lakandula, Carmen Planas, P. Herrera, Juan Luna St.

• Vehicles from Moriones St. heading to J. Nolasco St. should continue to Dagupan St.

• Vehicles from Pritil via N. Zamora St. should turn left to Moriones St., then left to Dagupan St.

Motorists are advised to plan alternative routes and follow police instructions to avoid congestion during the festivities.
