Authorities in Porac, Pampanga dismantled a drug den and arrested four suspects during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Sta. Cruz on Wednesday.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said the operation was carried out in coordination with the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPO), leading to the takedown of the makeshift drug den.
The alleged operator, a 59-year-old man known as “Teds,” was arrested along with three of his cohorts: 33-year-old Bill, 30-year-old Lex, and 36-year-old Isa.
Officials seized four sachets of shabu, weighing around six grams and valued at roughly P40,800, along with assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked money used in the sting. The confiscated drugs are set for forensic examination at the PDEA Regional Office 3 Laboratory. Teds and his accomplices are now being held at the PDEA RO3 Jail Facility.
The operation also involved the PDEA RO3 Special Enforcement Team (RSET) and the Porac Police Station.
Teds faces non-bailable charges under Sections 5 and 6 of Republic Act 9165 for the sale of dangerous drugs and for maintaining a drug den, while appropriate charges under the same law are being prepared for his accomplices.
