33 goats were distributed to 11 beneficiaries as the Olongapo City Agriculture Office held the Animal Dispersal Program at the Rizal Triangle in Olongapo City on 6 January 2025.

According to Mayor Lenj Paulino, the said Animal Dispersal Program aims to support livestock farmers to boost their livelihood, increase their income, and push for sustainable agriculture in the community.

He added that under the said program, 11 beneficiaries from this city received three goats each, and will undergo training regarding proper care and management of livestock to ensure long-lasting success.

The beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for the support of the City Government in boosting the agricultural sector, particularly the livestock, in Olongapo City. They personally thanked Paulino, IPMR Barry Esteban, and Olongapo City Agriculture Office Head Francis Ela Maniago for the assistance.

The Animal Dispersal Program provides livestock (like goats, cattle, hogs) to rural farmers and communities for livelihood, operating on a “pay-forward” system where the first offspring is returned to the program to benefit another recipient, fostering sustainable income and food security through training, monitoring, and shared responsibility.

Olongapo City has an active Animal Dispersal Program managed by the City Agriculture Office (CAO), providing livestock like goats and cattle to qualified residents, farmers, and associations as livelihood, with recipients required to return offspring for program continuity.
