The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) and the City Government opened the Regional Mobile Science Centrum Exhibit at the 3rd Floor of the Olongapo City Civic Center in Olongapo City, Zambales, on 11 February 2026.
Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr. led the opening ceremony along with officials from DOST Zambales, bringing the interactive science exhibit closer to the people of Olongapo City. According to Paulino, the exhibit is designed to make science fun, engaging, and accessible to the community.
“May mga hands-on exhibits, science demos, at interactive modules na mae-enjoy po ng mga estudyante habang natututo at para ma-experience nila ang science beyond the classroom,” he added.
The exhibit will be open from 16 February 2026 up to 13 March 2026, Mondays to Saturdays, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., free of charge.
The exhibit is a traveling interactive science display featuring 22 hands-on, educational displays. It has been held in various locations across Central Luzon, including Vista Mall Malolos, Bataan, and Pampanga, targeting students and teachers.
Displays include the Symmetroscope, Bicycle Wheel Gyro, Anti-Gravity Mirror, Pedal Generator, and Magnetic Sphere. The program encourages STEM careers and enhances science education, often featuring Science Investigatory Project (SIP) presentations, robotics demos, and quizzes.
