Vice Ganda says ‘no’ to politics
Being outspoken about the rampant corruption in the country — which netizens say has reached stratospheric levels — Vice Ganda is often seen as a natural fit for politics.
But the It’s Showtime main host has no interest in diving into the political arena.
When Karen Davila asked on her YouTube channel if she was considering a Senate run, the Call Me Mother star gave a firm “no.”
“It’s not coming from my inner self. It’s not what my heart wants. It’s not what I want to do,” Vice Ganda said in Filipino.
So how did she turn down political offers?
“Instantly and honestly. Simply no,” she quipped.
Davila then asked, “At this point, ‘Vice, we’ll give you P500 million just so you run.’”
Vice Ganda’s response was striking in its casual confidence: “I have P500 million.”
Janice de Belen hints Kaila Estrada’s romance with Daniel Padilla
Rumors of Daniel Padilla and Kaila Estrada dating have been swirling, and while neither has confirmed the relationship, sightings of the couple together suggest there may be truth to the rumors.
Fans have spotted them on dates and acting cozy, giving off the vibe of a typical young couple. Since both Padilla and Estrada remain quiet about their budding romance, it’s natural to turn to someone close to them for insight — like Kaila’s mom, Janice de Belen.
“What they’re seeing, it’s that already. That’s it,” de Belen said in a recent interview when asked about her daughter and Padilla.
De Belen seems supportive of the relationship, adding, “When the kids are all adults already, you should also trust them — that they can make decisions for themselves. And at the same time, you also trust yourself that you raised them well.”
