SM Cinema, in partnership with global cinema technology leader CJ 4DPLEX, has launched the country’s first ScreenX theater at SM Mall of Asia, ushering in a new era of immersive moviegoing for Filipino audiences. Located at the second level of the Entertainment Mall, the new auditorium features ScreenX, the world’s first multi-projection cinema format with a 270-degree panoramic field of view.

The launch underscores CJ 4DPLEX’s continued mission to redefine how films are experienced in cinemas worldwide through innovative formats such as ScreenX, 4DX, and Ultra 4DX.
The partnership also makes history with Wicked: For Good becoming the first film to be screened in ScreenX in the Philippines, followed by Zootopia 2 and Avatar: Fire and Ash.
