Maynilad offers desludging services

Maynilad Water Services Inc., the West Zone concessionaire, is offering its residential and semi-business customers free septic tank cleaning, or desludging, services throughout December in specific parts of Metro Manila and Cavite province.

This complimentary service is a key component of Maynilad’s sanitation program, which aims to reduce pollution loading into Metro Manila’s river systems. The service typically costs approximately P4,700 per truck.

Engr. Zmel Grabillo, Maynilad’s head of Wastewater Management, encouraged customers to take advantage of the offering. “We ask our customers to avail of this service, as it will help to protect community health and the environment,” Grabillo said.

Customers eligible for the free desludging service are located in the following areas:

In Caloocan, the service is available in Barangays 4 to 9, 11 to 18, 20, 25 to 28, 30 to 46, 49 to 79, 172, 174 to 176, 178 and 180 to 188. Las Piñas coverage includes Barangays Almanza 1, Almanza II, Manuyo II, and Talon I to Talon V. Malabon customers in Barangays Baritan, Bayan-Bayanan, Concepcion, Dampalit, Flores, Hulong Duhat, Ibaba, Longos, Muzon, Panghulo, San Agustin and Tañong are eligible.

Over at the City of Manila, the service covers Barangays Binondo, Ermita, Intramuros, Malate, Paco, Port Area, Quiapo, San Miguel, San Nicolas, Sta. Cruz, Sta. Mesa and Tondo. Muntinlupa’s Barangay Bayanan is included, as well as Pasay’s Barangays San Jose, San Rafael, San Roque and Sta. Clara.

Parañaque areas are Barangays Don Galo, La Huerta, Merville, San Isidro, Sto. Niño, Sto. Niño 1, Sucat and Tambo. In Quezon City, the service is available in Barangays Bahay Toro, Bungad, Commonwealth, Damar, Damayan, Del Monte, Don Manuel, Doña Aurora, Doña Josefa, Katipunan, Maharlika, Manresa, Mariblo, Masambong, N.S Amoranto, Pag-ibig sa Nayon, Paltok, Paraiso, San Antonio, Sienna, Sto. Domingo and Talayan.

Meantime, Valenzuela coverage spans Barangays Bagbaguin, Balangkas, Bignay, Canumay East, Isla, Karuhatan, Lingunan, Malanday, Malinta, Palasan, Parada, Paso De Blas, Rincon, Tagalag, Veinte Reales and Wawang Pulo.

The free septic tank cleaning also extends to select Maynilad customers in Cavite province, as Bacoor City residents in Barangays Ligas I, Ligas II, Ligas III, Mambog IV, Molino I, Molino II, Molino III, Niog II, Niog III, Panapaan I, Panapaan V, Queens Row West, San Nicolas I, San Nicolas II and San Nicolas III can avail of the service.

In Cavite City, Barangays Caridad, Dalahican, Medicion I, and Medicion II are included. Kawit coverage includes Barangays Magdalo, Marulas, Panamitan, Samala-Marquez, Sta. Isabela, Tabon II, Tabon III, Toclong, Tramo-Bantayan, Wakas I and Wakas II.

Imus City customers in Barangays Alapan I-B, Anabu II, Anabu II-D, Anabu II-E, Bayan Luma I to III, Bayan Luma V to IX, Carsadang Bago I, Malagasang I-G, Malagasang II-A, Malagasang II-D, Malagasang II-F, Medicion I, Poblacion I-A, Poblacion III-A, Tanzang Luma I, Tanzang Luma II, Toclong I-A, Toclong I-B and Toclong II are eligible.

Finally, the service is offered in Noveleta’s Barangays Magdiwang, Putol, Salcedo I, Salcedo II, San Antonio II, San Jose II, San Rafael II to San Rafael IV, and Sta. Rosa I, and Rosario’s Barangays Kaunlaran, Muzon II, Silangan I and Silangan II.
