Senator Christopher “Bong” Go attended the House of Hope Foundation’s Annual Survivors Day on 8 December at SMX Convention Center, SM Lanang, Davao City.
The event, organized by the House of Hope Foundation for Kids with Cancer Inc. and Southern Philippines Medical Center’s Cancer Institute, celebrated children and adolescents undergoing or completing cancer treatment.
Go, invited by House of Hope President Minda Cruz and SPMC Cancer Institute head Dr. Mae Dolendo, expressed his gratitude for the foundation’s life-saving mission.
“This is not just a gathering; it is a celebration of strength, faith, and the success of every survivor here today,” he said, emphasizing the importance of health as a national priority.
Love, encouragement
Go noted that he wanted to convey former President Rodrigo Duterte’s love and encouragement, even in his absence. During the event, 482 patients received food packs, while others received pens, balls, shirts and fans.
