The condominium units of resigned solon Zaldy Co were searched by the National Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday for possible evidence of his alleged involvement in the bid rigging of flood control projects.
Co, the former chairman of the House appropriations committee, has vehemently denied accusations of orchestrating budget insertions in connection with the flood control anomalies.
He has fled the country and has released successive videos from abroad accusing President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of being a prime beneficiary of the corruption.
The videos were slammed by Marcos as an example of “fake news.”
The President also said Co should go home and face the charges against him.
Authorities said Co is reportedly in Europe and is using another passport.
