"May singil ang pangarap..." is the pivotal line in the critically acclaimed Bar Boys: The Musical, which follows the story of four idealistic young men as they work their way through law school. The sold-out show, running at Hyundai Hall in Areté, has announced an extension for one final weekend, with additional performances on 29 and 30 November 2025, featuring matinee and evening shows.
("Dreams have a price...")
In this story about friendship and hope, Bar Boys: The Musical follows four friends — Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh — who hope to become lawyers and change the world. But as the realities of school and life set in, their friendship, values, and faith are put to the test. With book and lyrics by Pat Valera, based on the film of the same name, and music by Myke Salomon, the all-new staging has been hailed as “a battle cry against injustice” and “a sprawling resonant spectacle” by audiences and critics alike.
Barefoot Theatre Collaborative’s homegrown musical recently won Outstanding Ensemble Performance for a Musical, Female Featured Performance in a Musical for Sheila Francisco, and Male Featured Performance in a Musical for Juliene Mendoza at the 15th Gawad Buhay. It also received 13 nominations for its cast and team, including Outstanding Musical (Original or Translation/Adaptation).
Don’t miss the last few shows of Bar Boys: The Musical on 29 and 30 November 2025 at Hyundai Hall in Areté Ateneo. Tickets are available at Ticket2Me, ranging from P999 to P3,499.
Theatergoers can also enjoy a special promo: those who buy tickets for both Si Faust at the Doreen Blackbox Theater and Bar Boys on the same day (matinee and evening or vice versa) will receive a signed programme for both shows and a poster for Si Faust.
