Kiefer Ravena launches new hydration and energy product

Former national team standout Kiefer Ravena — now a point guard for the Yokohama B-Corsairs in Japan’s professional basketball league — has taken on a new role off the court as he leads the launch of a hydration product designed for people with active, on-the-go lifestyles.

Ravena recently introduced Ultra Electrolytes as its product ambassador during an event at the Rockwell East Tower.

Electrolytes such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium help regulate the body’s fluid balance and muscle function — something Ravena emphasized is especially crucial in the Philippines.

“In a tropical climate, heat and humidity increase sweating, causing you to lose more water and electrolytes. Drinking plain water alone can dilute electrolyte levels. Replenishing them helps maintain balance and supports normal physical and cognitive function,” he explained.

Ultra Electrolytes, he added, isn’t just for athletes. Everyday activities also take a toll, said co-founder Matthew Singson.

Seeing a gap in the local market for accessible, great-tasting electrolyte beverages, the group aims to go beyond hydration by promoting a more active Filipino lifestyle.
