Two suspected carnappers were arrested during an entrapment operation in Barangay Lagundi, Mexico, Pampanga on 10 November 2025, the Pampanga Police Provincial Office (PPPO) reported Tuesday.
PPPO Provincial Director Police Col. Eugene M. Marcelo said the operation was launched following a complaint from a victim whose motorcycle was stolen outside their residence in Floridablanca, Pampanga.
The stolen unit was later discovered posted for sale on an online marketplace.
Upon confirming the online listing, the Floridablanca Municipal Police Station, in coordination with Mexico MPS, set up a meet-up with the sellers in Barangay Lagundi. Police operatives immediately apprehended the suspects during the arranged transaction.
The arrested individuals, aged 23 and 26, are both residents of Barangay San Pedro Cutud, City of San Fernando. The stolen motorcycle was recovered from their possession.
Appropriate charges are being prepared against them.
