The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) on Monday distributed a total of 1,907 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROMs), Collective Land Ownership Awards (CLOAs), and electronic land titles (e-Titles) to 1,663 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in CALABARZON, during a ceremonial turnover event in Calamba City.
“This is not just DAR’s triumph—it is the triumph of every farmer and every Filipino family,” DAR Field Operations Office Undersecretary Kazel Celeste said, emphasizing that secure land ownership strengthens farmers’ livelihoods, boosts food production, and contributes to the nation’s food security.
Of the total documents distributed, 286 were individual e-Titles issued through Project SPLIT (Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling), a government initiative that subdivides collective CLOAs into individual titles. DAR said this gives farmers clear and legally recognized ownership, allowing them to manage and develop their farms independently.
The rest of the certificates issued included COCROMs and CLOAs, which remove farmers’ mortgage obligations and formalize ownership—enabling them to invest fully in their land.
Laguna recorded the highest number of distributed certificates with 563, followed by Rizal (559), Quezon II (390), Batangas (301), and Cavite and Quezon I (47 each).
Celeste said the latest distribution reaffirms the government’s commitment to agrarian justice and rural development.
“Among all our people, farmers are the ones we cannot afford to lose—because every Filipino family depends on them, three times a day, seven days a week,” she added.
DAR CALABARZON said it will continue supporting ARBs through land distribution, debt condonation, and capacity-building programs to ensure long-term agricultural development and farmer welfare.
Present during the ceremony were Assistant Secretary McDonald Galit, Regional Director Cupido Gerry Asuncion, Assistant Regional Director Atty. Rexie Maristela, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Rommel Bote, and partner local government officials.
