A former communist terrorist group (CTG) member surrendered to the authorities at Barangay Carmen, Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija, on 4 November 2025.
According to the First Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) of Nueva Ecija, the joint elements of NEPPO 1st PMFC (Lead Unit), NEPPO 2nd PMFC, Licab MPS, Quezon MPS, PIU–NEPPO, Zaragoza MPS, and PIT NE–RIU3 facilitated the voluntary surrender of the former CTG member.
The said surrendere is a former member of the Pambansang Katipunan ng Magsasaka (PKM), an Underground Mass Organization (UGMO) who turned over one caliber .38 revolver without markings and two pieces of live ammunition for caliber .38.
Moreover, a sack of rice and initial financial assistance were provided to her as part of the government’s assistance and reintegration efforts for former members of Underground Mass Organizations.
This act of voluntary surrender reflects the continued success of the government’s peace initiatives in encouraging former members to return to the fold of the law and live peaceful, productive lives.
