The Philippine National Police (PNP) announced Wednesday that it will release its Year-End Bonus (YEB) and cash gift to active personnel and retirees on 13 November.
PNP Public Information Office chief and spokesperson Brig. Gen. Randulf Tuaño said a total of P8.73 billion will be distributed to 227,693 active police personnel, while 2,807 retirees will receive P92.83 million in bonuses.
The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) confirmed that the YEB, which is equivalent to one month’s basic salary, along with a P5,000 cash gift, will be released with the first agency payroll of November.
“This early release not only boosts the morale of our active and retired personnel but also underscores the government’s appreciation for their relentless service,” Tuaño said. “We encourage everyone to use this bonus wisely and continue their commitment to the safety and security of our communities.”
Palace Press Officer Atty. Clair Castro earlier said that the early release reflects the administration’s acknowledgment of the contribution of public servants.
