The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) on Wednesday reported minimal damage across airports under its supervision following the onslaught of Typhoon #TinoPH.

Initial assessments showed that several airports sustained minor structural impacts, but no major infrastructure damage or aviation-related incidents were recorded.

San Vicente Airport in Palawan experienced flooding at its Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting station, while the terminal roof at Borongan Airport in Eastern Samar sustained slight damage.

At Hilongos Airport in Leyte, a glass door broke and the pre-departure area ceiling was affected, while Guiuan Airport also reported minor roofing and gutter issues.

CAAP Director General Raul Del Rosario said assessment teams are continuing to inspect facilities and carry out necessary repairs.

“We are also closely coordinating with our area managers for timely updates and swift response,” Del Rosario said.

Meanwhile, as of 5 November, a total of 56 flights were cancelled due to Typhoon Tino. No flight diversions were reported.
