he Eastern Police District (EPD) reported a 3.45 percent reduction in overall crime incidents in the past week, attributing the decline to intensified police operations and heightened visibility.
From 20 to 26 October, the EPD recorded a total crime rate of 18.95, a notable drop from the 22.40 incidents recorded from 13 to 18 October.
This decline covers both index and non-index crimes across the cities of Pasig, Mandaluyong, Marikina and San Juan.
The EPD highlighted its sustained operational efforts, which included 44 anti-illegal drugs operations that led to the arrest of 52 individuals. Authorities confiscated 153.48 grams of suspected shabu and 4.96 grams of marijuana (kush), with an estimated standard drug price of over P1 million.
In its manhunt campaign, the EPD conducted 58 operations, resulting in the arrest of 58 wanted individuals, including nine top most wanted persons and one most wanted person.
