CAAP: Airports on heightened alert for 'Undas' 2025

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) said all airports under its supervision are on heightened alert as part of the preparations for Undas 2025 travel period from 30 October to 4 November.
CAAP Spokesperson Eric Apolonio in a radio interview Tuesday said additional personnel have been deployed particularly in airports expecting heavy passenger traffic.
He also advised those who will travel to come at least two hours before their scheduled flight, noting that passenger volumes for domestic and international flights have increased since the start of the week.
The CAAP director assured that coordination with airport operators including privatized airports such the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, Mactan-Cebu International Airport, Caticlan Airport, and the Clark Airport.
“For CAAP international airports, it won't be an issue because first of all, the international flights to those airports are very limited,” Apolonio added.
CAAP is also coordinating with local authorities including the Philippine National Police-Aviation Security Unit, Office of Transportation Security, Department of Tourism, Civil Aeronautics Board, and airlines for the processing of passengers.
The authority expects at least 5.8 million passengers this year, posing a 7 to 10 percent increase to the 4.8 million passengers recorded in 2024 from October to November.
During the Undas travel period, Malasakit Help Desks will be visible in all airports to assist passengers with their concerns, along with security personnel and medical teams on standby to offer immediate assistance.
