
European poultry producers are bringing their products to the spotlight in the Philippines through a new EU co-funded campaign, promoting high standards of quality, food safety, and sustainable production.
The three-year initiative, European Poultry – From Our Farms to Your Table, was officially launched in Manila on August 7, targeting both food industry professionals and health-conscious consumers.
Led by the National Poultry Council – Chamber of Commerce, the campaign aims to promote poultry products that meet strict EU regulations on animal welfare, environmental responsibility, and food safety. These measures ensure not only superior taste but also nutritional value, according to organizers.
“This is about building awareness of European poultry’s unmatched quality and strict production standards,” said Dariusz Goszczyński, president of the National Poultry Council. “We want to share with Filipino consumers and businesses how we raise poultry responsibly and sustainably.”
The campaign will include participation in major trade fairs, B2B meetings, collaborations with media and influencers, and study visits to Europe for business partners from Southeast Asia.
As part of its Philippine debut, European poultry is featured at the World Food Expo (WOFEX) in Manila from August 6 to 9, one of the country’s largest trade events for the food and beverage sector.
Quality certification expert Kamila Cicherska-Borońska, who also spoke at the launch, underscored the importance of the EU’s rigorous certification process in ensuring consumer trust.
The campaign’s activities are expected to run through the next three years, with continuous efforts to connect European poultry producers with Philippine importers, distributors, and retailers.
