The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) delivered vital support to fire and flood victims in Sampaloc, Manila on 30 July 2025, reaching hundreds of affected families through its ongoing relief missions.

More than 300 residents from Barangays 581, 439, and 448 received assistance after fire incidents left many families displaced. PCSO Directors Jennifer Liongson-Guevara and Imelda Papin, along with Councilor Louisa Marie “Lady” Quintos-Tan, led the distribution of ChariTimba food packs and evacuation kits. These included canned goods, noodles, coffee, rice, mosquito nets, blankets, pillows, slippers, and other essential items.

The relief mission was part of PCSO’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program, which aims to provide immediate assistance to disaster-affected areas.

“In line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s directive to prioritize assistance for victims of recent typhoons and monsoon rains, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) extended assistance to affected residents of Barangay 503 in District IV, Manila on July 30, 2025.”

Another group of families in Barangay 503, affected by flooding due to successive weather disturbances, also received aid. PCSO Directors Liongson-Guevara and Janet De Leon Mercado joined Barangay Chairman Eduardo Mendoza and Sangguniang Kabataan Chairwoman Jhemil Ilao in the distribution.

“Each pack contained essential food items to help residents recover from the impact of successive weather disturbances.”

Through its CSR Program, PCSO continues to respond swiftly to the needs of vulnerable communities during times of crisis. The agency’s efforts remain focused on reaching those who need it most.
