In a new vlog post, the TV Patrol anchor revealed that she and her husband were pickpocketed during a train ride in what many consider one of the safest countries in the world.

“We got pickpocketed in Switzerland,” Bernadette candidly shared. “We were on a first-class train coach when a man boarded during a quick stopover. He seemed like any other passenger, but when we arrived at our destination and started unloading our luggage, we didn’t notice he had already slipped out… along with Asawa’s backpack.”

The realization only came after the train had pulled away—leaving them stunned but reflective.

“I’m sharing this on the vlog not just to tell the story,” she said, “but to remind fellow travelers to stay alert. Even in the most beautiful places, things like this can happen.”

Switzerland, often romanticized for its postcard-perfect views and impeccable order, proved that no place is entirely immune to petty crimes—even first-class cabins aren’t foolproof.
