At the 2025 State of the Nation Address, QC District 3 Councilor Kate Galang Coseteng and her brother, Valenzuela Dist 2 Rep Gerald Galang made a striking appearance in bespoke creations by Filipino designer Jo Rubio—quietly elegant yet deeply rooted in cultural pride.
Kate exuded modern Filipiniana grace in a sage green gown featuring structured butterfly sleeves, a softly draped bodice, and a thigh-high slit that revealed a touch of contemporary flair. Embellished with crystal floral appliqués on the neckline and cinched perfectly at the waist, the look was both refined and romantic. She completed the ensemble with a textured clutch and nude platform heels.
Gerald, on the other hand, donned a classic barong Tagalog rendered in a neutral ivory tone, detailed with Rubio’s signature embroidery—sleek, masculine, and timeless. Paired with black trousers and leather shoes, the ensemble mirrored the understated elegance of his sister’s look.
Together, the Galang siblings presented a vision of modern Filipino heritage—elevated by Jo Rubio’s craftsmanship and an undeniable sense of family pride.
