Two weather disturbances outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) continue to enhance southwest monsoon or "habagat," bringing rains particularly in Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Monday, 28 July.

Tropical Cyclone Co-May (formerly "Emong) remained outside PAR as of Monday afternoon. It was last spotted 920 kilometers (km) northeast of extreme northern Luzon and had sustained winds of 75 km per hour (km/h) near the center.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Krosa, also outside PAR, was last located 2,385 km east northeast of extreme northern Luzon. It had maximum sustained winds of 140 km/h near the center.

The cyclone-enhanced "habagat" will bring occasional rains across the Ilocos Region, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Abra, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan.

PAGASA said floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains are also possible.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, and the rest of Central Luzon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms.

The rest of the country is set to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains or thunderstorms.
