Reigning MPL PH champion Team Liquid PH started its Mid Season Cup 2025 campaign with an impressive win over Ultra Legends of Egypt in the opening match of the tournament this Wednesday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

KarlTzy, a two-time M-Series world champion, showed up in Game 1 with his trademark Lancelot backed by Phoveus, Pharsa, Granger, and Gatotkaca. It did not take long for KarlTzy to heat up with his Lancelot as he scored a 7/1/8 KDA en route to taking the opening stanza.

KarlTzy’s teammates Jaypee, Sanford, Oheb, and Sanji all showed in Game 2. With an Arlott, Hayabusa, Zhuxin, Harith, and Kalea lineup, Team Liquid PH only needed 11 minutes to cop the contest and win their first series in the tournament.

Team Liquid PH will battle the winner between ONIC PH and CFU Gaming in the upper bracket semifinal of Group A for its next assignment.
