Authorities seized over P21 million worth of illegal drugs from a 25-year-old suspect during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Pinagbuhatan late Wednesday night.
The suspect, identified only by the alias Nader, was arrested by the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Pasig City Police Station along Eusebio Avenue at around 11:45 p.m.
Recovered during the operation were 3.2 kilograms of suspected shabu valued at P21,760,000, along with various drug paraphernalia.
Police records show that Nader, a resident of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, had previously been arrested by the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) on 12 February 2019, for violating Republic Act No. 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. He was released from detention on 10 December 2024.
According to police intelligence, the suspect’s drug distribution activities extended to Taguig City, as well as Taytay and Cainta in Rizal province.
He is now under police custody and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
