MUNTINLUPA CITY — Three hotels were honored on Thursday, 11 July, as the city’s Most Resilient Business Enterprise awardees, with Mayor Ruffy Biazon hailing them for their crisis response and service continuity through disasters.
Crimson Hotel Filinvest City received the Gold award, followed by The Bellevue Manila with Silver and Somerset Alabang with Bronze.
“This is not just a recognition of business success, but of resilience in the face of crisis,” Biazon said in a Facebook post in Filipino. “From the pandemic to natural calamities, they remained open, helped others, and served as a pillar of our city.”
Launched in June by the Muntinlupa Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (DDRM), the city’s search for the Most Resilient Business Enterprise focused first on hotels. The competition assessed how well each hotel was prepared for disasters, both in protecting staff and guests, and in supporting broader citywide emergency response.
Eight hotels joined the contest, including Acacia Hotel, Vivere Hotel, Parque España Residence Hotel, B Hotel, and Azumi Boutique Hotel. The evaluation emphasized business continuity planning, staff training, and close coordination with the local government.
Mayor Biazon also highlighted the frontline role hotels often play during typhoons and emergencies, serving as evacuation sites and resource hubs.
“True success is not only about how high you’ve reached, but how strong you are in the face of trials,” he said. “We need businesses that are resilient, compassionate, and ready to cooperate.”
The initiative aligns with Muntinlupa’s push to strengthen its position as a safe, sustainable city and a hub for recreation and tourism.
