DigiPlus brings fresh gaming line to Brazil
Listed DigiPlus Interactive Corp., the operator behind BingoPlus, ArenaPlus, and GameZone, is set to introduce a new lineup of digital entertainment offerings in Brazil by September.
The company said Wednesday that it will offer Brazilian users a new suite of livestreamed games, slots, table games, and original self-developed content, supported by its technology platform now hosted on Amazon Web Services.
“We are excited to bring world-class entertainment to new markets, bringing the strengths and expertise that we have established in the Philippines. Our entry into Brazil is part of our strategic expansion program to usher DigiPlus' next phase of growth,” DigiPlus Chairman Eusebio Tanco said.
A dedicated local team is already in place to ensure games are tailored to Brazilian preferences and compliant with local regulations.
In March, the company appointed industry veteran Graham Tidey as country manager to oversee operations in Brazil.
DigiPlus’ expansion follows the Brazilian government’s move to implement a formal legal framework for iGaming, which includes licensing, taxation, and consumer protection measures.
The company said the new rules have opened the market to trusted international players offering safe and properly regulated gaming experiences.
Brazil, with a population of over 200 million and internet penetration nearing 90 percent, presents a significant opportunity for the company.
Citing a report from LCA Economic Consulting, DigiPlus estimates the Brazilian iGaming market to be worth around $4.6 billion—roughly twice the size of the Philippine market.
