The Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) opened on a positive note Thursday morning, gaining 30.27 points or 0.47 percent to reach 6,534.61 as of 9:48 AM.
DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (PLUS) continued its strong performance, topping both the most active and advancing lists with a price increase of 3.05 to 39.55, or 8.36 percent. International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICT) followed with an 11.00-point jump to 452.00, representing a 2.49 percent rise. Asian Terminals, Inc. (ATI) also posted early gains, climbing 0.40 to 26.00.
Top Line Business Development Corp. (TOP) and Oriental Peninsula Resources Group, Inc. (ORE) rounded out the top three gainers, up 7.95 percent and 5.63 percent, respectively.
On the flip side, Philippine Business Bank, Inc. (PBB) recorded the steepest loss among early decliners, falling by 1.10 to 8.00, or 12.09 percent. Island Information & Technology, Inc. (IS) dropped 11.34 percent, while D.M. Wenceslao & Associates, Inc. (DMW) slipped 5.47 percent.
