Suspects involved in a robbery at Capitol City Baptist Church Inc. are now in police custody, following a swift response by local authorities in the early hours of 28 June 2025.

According to the report, the incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. when suspects unlawfully entered the church premises at No. 111 West Avenue and stole copper tubing from air conditioning units under installation at the site’s ongoing construction project.

The theft was discovered at around 6:00 AM by a member of the church’s Human Resources department while reviewing CCTV footage. She immediately notified a technical support staff member, who called the 911 emergency hotline at 7:05 AM.

A mobile patrol unit from Police Station 2 responded promptly and arrived at the scene just two minutes later, at 7:07 AM, to secure the area and begin the investigation.

The suspects were later apprehended and formally charged with Robbery in an Inhabited House or Public Building, as defined under Article 299 of the Revised Penal Code, before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.

Further verification through the Investigation Solution Automatic Verification (ISAV) System revealed that one of the suspects, identified as Israel, had a previous case for violating Presidential Decree 1602 (Anti-Illegal Gambling Law) in February 2023.

“This swift and coordinated police response underscores the QCPD’s unwavering commitment to the CNP’s core principle of ‘Immediate Action at All Times,’ and highlights the vital role of the 911 emergency response system, community vigilance, and inter-agency cooperation in preserving peace and order in Quezon City,” said PCOL Silvio.
