A 27-year-old man tagged as Taguig City’s third most wanted at the station level for crimes involving lascivious conduct was arrested Friday evening.

Authorities identified the suspect as alias “Ferdinand.” He was apprehended around 5:40 PM on 27 June by operatives of the Taguig City Police Station (CPS), led by officer-in-charge PCol. Byron Allatog.

According to the Southern Police District, the suspect was arrested on the strength of three separate warrants of arrest issued by Judge Loralie Cruz Datahan of Regional Trial Court Branch 69. He faces charges of lascivious conduct under Section 5(b) of Republic Act No. 7610, or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”

Each of the three criminal cases filed against him carries a recommended bail of P200,000.

Under Section 5(b) of RA 7610, any individual who engages in sexual intercourse or commits acts of lasciviousness with a child involved in prostitution or sexual abuse shall face criminal charges. If the child is under 12 years old, the accused will be charged with rape or acts of lasciviousness under the Revised Penal Code.

Alias “Ferdinand” was brought to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital for a mandatory medical check-up before being detained at the Taguig CPS Custodial Facility pending further court proceedings.
