Alelee Aguilar, the top vote-getter in the 2025 elections, officially took her oath of office today as councilor for the First District of Las Piñas City.

The ceremony, held at Las Piñas City Hall, was officiated by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez of the Regional Trial Court, Family Court Branch 2.

Aguilar was joined by fellow elected officials, including Mayor-elect April Aguilar, Vice Mayor-elect Imelda Aguilar Santos, Congressman-elect Mark Anthony Santos and Councilors-elect Mac-Mac Santos, Robert Cristobal, Henry Medina, Luigi Casimiro and Macky Saito. First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos also attended the event in support of the newly elected leaders.

In her remarks, Aguilar pledged to champion policies focused on education, health and family welfare.

“I will use my mandate to push for legislative measures that improve services in education and healthcare — especially for the youth, solo parents, senior citizens and women,” Aguilar said. “As the only female among the 12 elected councilors, I carry the responsibility of ensuring that women’s voices are heard and that the family remains protected through strong, structured social policies.”

In the May 2025 elections, Aguilar secured 71,492 votes in District 1, the highest number received by any councilor in Las Piñas, making her the city’s top-ranking councilor.
