The Communication Olympiad Grand Championship will be held on Friday, 27 June at the Meralco headquarters in Pasig City, led by IABC Philippines, COMCO School of Communications, and One Meralco Foundation (OMF).

The event is the final round of a nationwide competition for communications, marketing and public relations students.

OMF supports the program as part of its youth development efforts.

“We believe that it is important for the Filipino youth to deepen their awareness in the many sustainable development challenges we face, including Energy for Development which is the key issue they will tackle in the Olympiad,” said OMF President Jeffrey O. Tarayao, who also sits as a jury member.

“OMF is committed to enable platforms like this where they can share ideas and solutions they are thinking about.”

Fifteen schools advanced to the championship after completing training and passing elimination rounds.

These include Ateneo de Manila University, Baliuag University, De La Salle University-Dasmariñas, De La Salle University, Far Eastern University, Laguna University, Mapúa University-Makati, Mindoro State University, National University-Dasmariñas, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, Tarlac State University, University of Antique, University of the Cordilleras, University of the Philippines Visayas, and University of Saint Anthony in Iriga City.
