  • One Meralco Foundation (OMF) and the Meralco Bacoor Business Center distributed relief packs to people affected by the heavy rains brought about by tropical storm “Maymay” and the southwest monsoon (habagat) in recent days.

OMF and the Meralco Bacoor Business Center also turned over relief supplies to the City Government of Bacoor — received by Mayor Strike B. Revilla — for distribution to other affected residents in various barangays.

This initiative is part of the Foundation’s disaster response activities aimed at helping fellow citizens affected by calamities.

Due to the heavy rainfall and flooding that hit the city, many residents in barangays Aniban 1, Aniban 2 and Ligas 1 had to be evacuated to designated centers.

Meanwhile, some traffic enforcers in the city continued to report for duty despite experiencing flooding in their own homes. They were among the recipients of the relief packs, which contained food for their families.
