Maynilad Water Services Inc., the water service provider for Metro Manila's West Zone, has signed a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) with the Maynilad Water Supervisors’ Association (MWSA), further solidifying its partnership with the union representing over 350 supervisory employees.
The agreement, forged through a series of constructive negotiations, aims to balance employee welfare with the company’s operational objectives.
The ceremonial signing was held recently, witnessed by officials from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the National Conciliation and Mediation Board (NCMB).
Present at the signing were Maynilad Customer Experience and Retail Operations Head Christopher J. Lichauco, Human Resources Head Martin B. De Guzman, MWSA President Cynthia Fe C. Villamor, and MWSA Legal Counsel Atty. Emmanuel Jabla. Also in attendance were NCMB officials Atty. Khristine Joy Mary Vergara, Director Edgar G. Aquino, and Conciliator-Mediator Estelita Bautista.
Maynilad HR Head Martin De Guzman described the agreement as a testament to the company’s commitment to constructive labor relations.
“This agreement reflects our shared commitment to uphold employee rights and maintain open, productive partnerships with our labor groups,” De Guzman said in a statement.
The newly signed CBA sets the stage for sustained collaboration between Maynilad and its supervisory workforce, and is expected to enhance workplace harmony and support the company’s service delivery goals.
