GMA Pictures’ upcoming psychological horror film P77 will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, marking another milestone for local cinema.
The contract signing took place on 16 June at the GMA Network Center, with GMA Network Senior Vice President for Programming, Talent Management, Worldwide, and Support Group, and GMA Films President and CEO Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes in attendance. She was joined by GMA Pictures Executive Vice President and GMA Public Affairs Senior Vice President Nessa Valdellon.
Also present were P77 lead star Barbie Forteza, director Derick Cabrido, and screenwriter Enrico Santos.
The partnership makes P77 the seventh Filipino film to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
Based on a story by Anj Atienza and Kristian Julao, P77 (short for Penthouse 77) is a psychological horror movie exploring the theme of homelessness amid a landscape of towering skyscrapers and urban poverty.
Joining Forteza in the cast are Firefly child actor Euwenn Mikaell, Gina Pareño, and Rosanna Roces.
P77 opens in cinemas nationwide on July 30.
