Fuel prices are set to rise by as much as P2 per liter starting Tuesday, driven by surging global oil prices amid heightened tensions between Israel and Iran.

According to local oil industry estimates, diesel and gasoline prices are expected to increase by P1.70 to P1.90 per liter. Kerosene prices may rise by P1.40 to P1.60 per liter.

The projected hike comes as global crude prices react to renewed conflict in the Middle East. On Friday, Israel launched an airstrike on a nuclear facility within an Iranian military base, reportedly killing several senior military officials.

In response, Iran fired missiles at several sites in Israel, including areas with civilian populations.
