Two young artists from Muntinlupa City showcased portraits they created during the Summer Performing Arts Workshop Recital Day organized by the Youth Arts and Sports Development Office.
Penelope Matira of Barangay Tunasan and Keith Evo Silvestre of Barangay Poblacion presented their artworks to Mayor Ruffy Biazon, who encouraged them to continue developing their talents.
"Sabi ko sa kanila, keep up the good work—dahil baka in the near future, makita na natin ang artworks nila sa Museo ng Muntinlupa," Biazon said in a Facebook post Sunday.
Biazon highlighted the importance of programs like the workshop in supporting the holistic development of youth, not only in academics but also in arts, sports, and other fields where young people can express their skills and identity.
"To all the participants—I’m proud of you. Huwag ninyong kalimutan ang mga natutunan sa workshop na ‘to, and cherish those friendships na nabuo ninyo sa journey n’yo na ’to," he added.
